IRISScan

IRISScan is intelligent scanning software with easy to use one keystroke controls.

Before a document is scanned, the unique reference can be entered into the image name. Each document then scanned will be indexed with that image name and incremented sequentially thereafter. The software also allows for the operator to increase the index name sequentially as well and is particularly useful when scanning planning case files or similar.

By using key binders built within the software, predefined values can be allocated to a chosen key.

For example, if documents were to be scanned in black & white with a file format of Group 4 Tiff to a scan resolution of 200 dpi and if both sides of the document were required to be scanned, all these values could be assigned to one single key binder and referenced to 'B' on the keyboard.

Alternatively, if a document was required to be scanned as a 256 colour jpeg to a resolution of 100 dpi but single sided then this could be assigned to another key binder and referenced to 'C' on the keyboard.

As each document is scanned the only decision required by the scanning operative is simply whether the document to be scanned is required to be scanned in colour or black & white. Once chosen the 'C' or 'B' key is then selected respectively.

IRISScan has a thumbnail view that allows the operator to insert images within the other images. This function is particularly useful where documents have been filed incorrectly or a double feed has occurred during the scanning process.

IRISQC

IRISQC enables the end user to check results of images by using a variety of checking tools.

Images can be checked for squareness, clarity and legibility. Images can also be checked for double feeds and corners that have been turned over and obscure important information.

IRISQC can be used to check individual images, all images in a batch mode or images that have been selected as part of a random percentage selection.

The end user can define the value associated with each error and can select preset unacceptable tolerance of error. This will be set as a percentage. As each image is checked the user can pass or fail any pre-defined aspect of the image. On completion, an auditable report is produced which identifies the records that were failed and the reasons for the failure together with an overall failure score.

So often clients receive the data from a scanning bureau, pay the invoice only to find that the work is an unacceptable standard. This tool is easy to set up, easy to use and a superb tool for checking contractors' work prior to approving payment.
