Martin Waters - Managing Director

Martin is a co-founder and Managing Director of Data Insight Ltd. He has extensive experience of the data capture of paper records by data processing and digitisation techniques. Martin's experience includes major asset capture projects for water utilities and asset surveys for local authorities and the Ministry of Defence. He has a good understanding of the everyday issues affecting companies who are making the transition from a paper mapping records system into a digital mapping and electronic document environment.

Ruth McCormick - Operations Director

Ruth is a co-founder and the Operations Director of Data Insight Ltd., and has particular experience of management of the digitisation, collection and validation of historic and survey data for local authorities and water companies. Ruth is the Director in charge of all aspects of Data Insight's operation and is responsible for client liaison, project planning, resource allocation, through the digitisation and scanning stages, quality control, client reviews, programme monitoring to the closedown of the project.

Alex Taylor - Sales Director

Alex is our Sales Director. He has worked in the sales area on a wide variety of cartographic subjects for over 10 years and has been involved in GIS from the early 1990's. He has first hand experience of many of the issues that are raised during site visits and is able to offer the benefit of his experience to provide the best solutions to the clients requirements. An outgoing personality whose interests include football, mountaineering, building and renovating houses.

Steve Montague - Scanning Director

Steve is our Scanning Director. His experience and knowledge of conversion of data from paper and film sources is paramount to Data Insight's intended growth. His knowledge extends from the conversion of paper records to digital in both the mapping and document management areas of our business. Steve has been tasked with expansion and growth of the scanning profile of our company. He is responsible for all aspects of the scanning business, from pre-project meetings through to the implementation of a project.

Vivek Mapari - CEO of Data Insight India

Vivek is our Chief Executive Officer for Data Insight India. He formed Data Insight India in 2003 with the backing and help of Data Insight Ltd. His career prior to this spanned IT and GIS. He worked for a Bombay based IT company where his duties included business development particularly in the United States. As a result he is well travelled and comfortable working in many different countries. Since forming Data Insight India, Vivek has built a sound company with over 40 employees who are all fully trained in the skills required for capturing UK datasets.

Martin Dines - General Manager

Martin joined Data Insight in 2008 as the General Manager responsible for project planning, project management and production control. Martin has considerable business and technical experience, particularly in the design and capture of textual, digital image and geospatial data. He has managed many projects for private and public sector companies including Siemens, Olivetti, and MAFF and has been a consultant to the Latvian Finance Ministry for procurement of records management systems. Martin is Prince II qualified and a member of the Society for IT Management (SocITM).

Laura McCormick - Office Manager

Laura joined Data Insight Ltd 9 years ago and has gained considerable experience in digitisation, scanning and many other aspects of the company business. Laura's responsibilities are to manage the scanning teams, who are constantly encouraged and motivated to achieve the targets that they are set. She works closely with the Operation and Scanning Directors in programming projects and is responsible for the monitoring of all contracts to ensure that our clients receive their data back at the time stipulated, and to a high standard.

Graeme Robinson - Quality Control Manager

Graeme joined Data Insight Ltd right at the beginning and has assisted the two founders of Data Insight in building a company from young roots to a company with an excellent reputation for quality and service in the field of digitisation and scanning paper documentation. He is a very 'hands on' person who enjoys assisting clients in understanding and overcoming initial fears of using and maintaining newly derived digital data within their software systems. His team is responsible for all aspects of quality control for work produced by Data Insight including Data Insight India.
