Data Insight carry out scanning activities at our own secure environmentally controlled premises.

Data Insight can show evidence of a long track record in scanning all types of documents including sensitive and valuable maps, prints and drawings of different thickness and quality.

DOCUMENT SCANNING

Data Insight use a range of Document Scanners to scan up to A3 paper documents to a high resolution in black & white, greyscale and colour. Each image is uniquely indexed by using bespoke scanning software developed by Data Insight.

Our innovative approach to quality control, using our own software - IRISQC, guarantees that each image is checked for legibility, skew and clarity consequently producing the best possible quality images.

LARGE FORMAT SCANNING

Using our Large Format Contex Scanners large documents/plans from A2 to A0 are scanned in black & white, greyscale or colour. 100% quality control is undertaken before final despatch.

MICROFICHE SCANNING

Specialist microfiche scanning equipment enables Data Insight to produce a high resolution scan of each image contained on a Microfiche Jacket. All images are produced in an open format that can be viewed in any EDMS, or alternatively viewed in our own IRISEDMS.

APPERTURE CARD SCANNING

Specialist aperture card scanning equipment enables Data Insight to produce high resolution scans of each aperture card. All images are produced in an open format that can be viewed in any EDMS, or alternatively viewed in our own IRISEDMS.

REDACTION SERVICES

Because of recent legislation, typically, the Data Protection Act, organisations need to be aware of their responsibilities in promoting electronic data that incorporates sensitive information.

Data insight offer a service of removing non-disclosable information, for example signatures and addresses, in preparation for information being presented across websites etc. UK markets such as local authorities, central government, finance, insurance and healthcare sectors would all benefit from our sophisticated, software/human intervention service.

INDEXING

Data Insight have written their own software IRISIndexer to enable us to index each image to any numbering convention required. The indexing process also allows for the classification of particular document types.

EDMS/GIS LINKING

Customers who have GIS can take advantage of Data Insight's skills to have all of their images linked back to their Geographical Information System.
